Learn-Grow-Become-GO!
Shout it in the assembly.
Shout it to the world. (Psalm 40)
Psalm 19 (NLT)
1The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.
2Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
3They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.
4Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.
5It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.
6The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.
7The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
8The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living.
9Reverence for the LORD is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair.
10They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.
11They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.
12How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults.
13Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.
14May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you,
O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
Oh. The glory of God! How often we take You and Your glory for granted – even though all we need to do is look outside over the Appalachians and the grandeur of your creation.
Oh, and how often we forget that we are a part of Your creation. We are ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’ in that ‘secret place.’ We are made in your image; we are not beasts of the field or birds of the air or fish in the sea – nor did we evolve from any of those! We are a special category of creation, of life, that you designed specifically in your image. You created “Adam,” (human) to partner with you in stewardship of the rest of creation. Each and every human being, male and female, has in common this special reason for being created; and by the redemptive power of the cross, we are brought back into relationship with our creator and begin to realize now, as it was in the beginning, what it means to walk with God in the garden, the earth.
Sunday morning, we will sing and celebrate in fellowship with the Lord and with each other. We will revel in the glory of God and all of His creation – including this church and the congregation of which we are all parts. I pray that you want to be a part of that celebration and see it for what it is – praise and worship of The Most High!
Oh indeed, “1The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.” I hope that you enjoy being a human. I know I do.
Soli Deo Gloria! (alone, God receives Glory!)
May God bless you and keep you and

Remember, the single biggest reason given for why someone attends church for the first time is that a friend asked them!
As always, we continue in prayer for Churchtown, for our community, for the church universal, and for the lost everywhere.
God is good. God provides. Keep your eyes up and on the cross people.
Be well and do good, my friends. And, as always, Keep Looking Up! The lord comes!
REMEMBER THAT!
Opportunities!
We are always seeking individuals to be trained in technology. We would like to develop TEAMS that could rotate weekends.
There is always the opportunity to provide music – join up with the New Song Singers and / or talk to me about a special prelude or piece.

As a “little” church, we are always asking the question, “What CAN we do?” Well, we can start by caring for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of each other.
We CAN serve the next person God places before us.
We CAN invite that person to church!
We CAN be intentional about going to church and strengthening ourselves and the body.
We CAN serve our community and show who Christ is to those who do not know Him.
We CAN PRAY, PRAY, PRAY – and we can REMAIN FATIHFUL!
I Love Being Your Pastor and Your Friend,
Brian
